El Sabor de mis Raíces was born from the heart and heritage of Carlos Marrero, a proud native of La Coloma, Pinar del Río, Cuba. Raised in a community where every meal was a celebration of family tradition, Carlos learned early that food is more than sustenance—it is a story, a memory, and a connection to home.
After coming to Lehigh Acres, Carlos and his family became part of the well-loved Havana Bakery & Café, a local favorite known for its authentic Cuban dishes, warm hospitality, and consistently high customer ratings—earning 4.5 to 4.7 stars across major platforms and thousands of positive reviews praising its food, service, and welcoming atmosphere.
Inspired by the bakery’s success and the strong community support behind it, Carlos envisioned something new— a place that would extend the legacy of authentic Cuban flavors while elevating them into a refined culinary experience. That vision became El Sabor de mis Raíces.
